+1 on the features & benefits idea if you have the time Matthew - no need to give a reccomendation as such but a list of pro's & cons would be great.

It's more than I even expected the shifts could ever be.

I finally got and installed my Steeda cold air kit and my SCT X3 tuner. The tuner was programmed at Steeda in Milton and they installed 87 octane, 91 octane and 94 octane tunes. I had the 94 tune and it was pretty awesome, until I went to Sudbury, on the weekend, for a wedding and discovered that there were no Sunoco stations! No Sunoco=no 94 octane gas, so luckily I had the tuner with me and dropped it down to the 91 octane!

Does Chevron or Petro-can have 94 out east? They do here.

I have not seen any Chevron stations in Alberta, but then again I haven't been everywhere in Alberta.

Those are oilsands projects, not fuelling stations.

There are 'no' Chevron gas stations in Alberta.

The SCT tuners have a few better features than the predators do. J-roc is right about choosing a tuner based on which one tuners are using in your area if you want to get a dyno tune. But the reason I just bought a predator is the support from Diablosport. Their forum is excellent, and they'll go out of their way to help you. SCT shut down their forum and I've heard their support isn't that good.

There is one in west Edmonton, but it could just be for semi's it is right behind west Edmonton Truckland 170st and 118 ave, have never gone there so i don't know if they sell anything more than diesel. There is a Husky in St. Albert that sells 94, i fuel my cars there.

The high octane that the Huskys have here in Calgary is an ethanol blend. The instructions that came with my Whipple HO warned against using any ethanol blend with the S/C.

Ya, unfortunately, most SC, turbo, and nitrous manufacturers frown on mixed grades of ethanol blend. Using a 100% true mixture of either is the only way to go. Plus that ethanol blend of 10%, or whatever it is, doesn't help any in the fuel mileage game.

Not all SCT tuners or Preds are created equal. Depending on what model or what revision or what car you have, features are all different. Both do the exact same thing for custom tuning, its all just what changes your tuner makes. So again, as J-Roc said, use what ever tuner your tuner has software for.
