I haven't heard anything bad about them ..although I was talking to Paul at bamachips and he was saying that the non tune ones do run alittle on the lean side..But I have been running a AFE one since early 05 and have had no problems just make sure what ever you get has a nice heat shield. And the piece inside the tude(carbon filter trap)can be taken out at anytime ..the first thing I did ..they say it's good for 4-6 hp just remember to put it in a box and save it. I was bored at work and looked up a factory H pipe with cats as I was going to try a custom H pipe for mine they list for 1600 bucks so don't throw the factory stuff away.

+1 on that.......I've got all the factory pieces I've replaced mounted up in different spots in the garage...looks real purty! Does give you an advantage if you ever feel the need to return to stock trim......say if you decide it's time for a change and you'd rather trade in instead of the hassle of selling privately. Guess that would depend on your dealer and how happy they are with cars that have been modded. And, as 05canuck said, if you do a mod and absolutely hate it, there is always the option open to go back to where you were before. |
