EGR question ASAP!

hey why do i need to put that egr pipe back on my car im doing a header install right now (PITFA) im running OR x pipe already and have had the EGR turned off using the diablo?

If the egr is turned off, you can just plug it up. It a good idea to use anti seize on the threads in case you ever need to remove the plug.

Years ago, I used a penny as a plug and threaded the engine side cap back on as above. If it is turned off with the diablo, I'm sure you could fab a block plate and eliminate the entire assembly.

Yea thats what i was thinkin a penny will work for the bottom side?

Yea for sure the car is a 04 and never sees snow and very little rain and still that thing was a Bitch to get off!

I actually had my header side welded, but if a penney fits it should work. Of course you'le have to check for exhaust leaks on initial fire-up.

ive gotta go find studs for the headers this after noon while im at the bolt supply joint ill see if they have a cap that will thread on there it almost looks like a hydralic J I C fitting would thread on there thanx for the intel guys!
