2010 Fleetwood Country Cruize In ... June 4 & 5

The annual Fleetwood Country Cruize-In is set to go on Friday June 4 & Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Steve Plunkett's estate on the west side of London. This is Canada's largest annual car show, "an extravaganza like no other".

Highlights this year include:
- Friday, June 4 ... a Drive-In screening of American Graffiti with the largest assembly of the original cast ever.
- Saturday, June 5 ... the Car Show featuring 3000 classics cars, hot rods and specialty vehicles, followed by a dinner show. To see last year's show, check out the Car Crazy website below:

Check out the web site & look back over the years. Lots of photos to give you an idea of what it's like on the 100 acre grassy estate. Arrive early ... at 0630 there was already a line-up to get in last year. Just a heads up ... anyone wanting to register a post-1985 car should contact Steve Plunkett at the number listed on the website. Free non-participant parking is in lots nearby with a free shuttle to the show.

In a previous post, it was indicated that attendees wishing to exhibit post-1985 vehicles should contact show organizers. According to a conversation with Steve Plunkett last night, Feb 19, he indicated all years of Mustangs are welcome to attend the exhibition.

Just a reminder that the Fleetwood Country Cruize-In goes at Steve Plunkett's 98 acre estate on the west side of London this weekend.

Thursday night (June 3) the local Lions Club has its regular Thursday night Country Cruize night ... free admission (donations requested) starting 5:00 pm & going till dusk. Many of the specialty vehicles will be on site & it's a great time for a "sneak peak".

Friday night (June 4) will feature a screening of American Graffitti (with many members of the original cast in attendance), along with dancing to live bands & the newly created "Mel's Diner". Admission is $15 per person.

Saturday (June 5) is the really big show ... "an automotive extravaganza like no other". Gates open at 7:00 am. Admission is $10 per person. Over 3,000 cars expected.

Hope some of you can make it to the show. The London Area Mustang Club will be setting up on site at 7:00 am. Hope the weather holds. The show has been blessed with good weather every year so far!

The fierce thunderstorm & tornado warnings on the eve of the show gave way to ideal conditions (except for a few wet spots) for the annual Fleetwood Country Cruize-In on June 5. Thousands of vehicles and car buffs showed up once again. A few pics from the show follow:

Members of the London Area Mustang Club met for breakfast at 6:00 am.




The LAMC arrived soon after 7:00 am & set up a club "Corral".









Lots of cars & spectators!
