line lock

Just wonderin if anyone has a line lock on their car and how they like it. The shop i usually get my parts from dont have any kits online. So before i phone them i was wondering who all builds line lock kits and how hard are they to put in?

I have a line lock on my fox coupe. Since Ford uses a real mishmash of fittings, installation is a big pain in the ass if you are in a hurry. If you are not, you can get all of the specialty fittings together ahead of time, and it's not such a terrible job.

It has helped me a lot in the burnout box, but I find it kind of useless on the line with a wild stick car.

I've really been wanting to try one out on my AOD Fox to see how much it helps off of the line. Then if that trial period goes well, I'd be interested in installing one on the 5R55 '05.

SLP makes a bolt in kit with all the lines and little things specifically for 99-04 GT's for like 125 or 150 bucks. Just look for it on summit racing. I was kind of thinking on getting one but I think I'll do control arms first. They say the kit is complete and there doesn't look to be that much there so I wouldn't think it would be that difficult.

Thanks guys. ronburgundy has it right! I just wanna save my brakes from the abuse especially once i get some good cross drilled and slotted rotors. I found the SLP one on ebay from summit and it was around 150. Kit looks to be complete bolt so i might try er out. I'll let you guys know how it works.
