Got home a little early and had time to put in the new battery. Took a few more "before" pics while it was still light out. As you can see the green scum needs to be washed off asap. The dirty engine bay will get cleaned up and bits painted. There's a new shiny Edelbrock carb hiding under the aircleaner sitting on top of a Performer RPM intake. Lots of work ahead...

Outside will be relatively easy to bring up to par. Looking forward to transforming under the hood.

wow loooks like a great car you got there.I am curious though...what is the green slime ...is it just from all the moisture out on the coast?

It looks like it has Capri sail panels on it too...Kinda got a Capri theme going.

I like the factory air cleaner and it is the correct one for 1982 HO 2 barrel too.. The 82 to 85's have one of the nicest factory air cleaner setups imo. Once you get that ghost buster slime crap off, it looks like you have found yourself a sweet little fox there j-roc. Nice, i like it!

I think the air cleaner looks great too, going to paint and polish it back up like new. The previous owner had the car for over 12 years. He put on the Capri sail panels and lights, I think they look good on there. Also a newer hatch & spoiler from a newer lx.
