30th Mustang International - 2009

Ok so I know I'm working ahead a bit here but......

Sept 4 - 7 2009 is the 30th Mustang International Meet in Billings, MT

The host hotel is the Holiday Inn Grand Montana - room rates are $89 per night (USD) - I'll locate the group code for that rate.

Reservations can only be made 50 weeks in advance so we have to wait 2 weeks before calling to book the rooms.

I'll post more as I come across the information.

They alternate between the 2 - last year it was in Great Falls, MT, before that Edmonton, AB. Next year Billings, MT & after that it sounds like it's in Red Deer, AB.

The closer the better money wise, also I would get lost going to USA. I'm 17 currently spending all my money on my car. But so far I've been rewarded with a broken trans and a terrible 1/4 mile time haha.

Saskatoon to Red Deer 678 kms
Saskatoon, Billings 910 kms

Cost of fuel will have evened those costs out, food is cheaper, and my guess is hotel will be at least $130 compared to $89 in billings

349 days...should be long enough for me to re-assemble my car...i think...

Anyhow, Winnipeg to Billings is at 1300KM and change...let see...I could probably get 300 on a tank (with a vac gauge and a block of wood under the pedal), so 4 tanks of gas each way, figure 9 in total there and back. Figure at LEAST 5-6 while there, so 15 tanks of gas at $60 each, about $900 in fuel alone. Hmm...should probably figure in a pair of tires too...add $300 for something to get home in. Hotel would run about $300 as well. Beer, another $200 (it is 3 days afterall).
So for about $2000, I could attend and shred it up good. Going to have to start saving for it now I guess...

hey, maybe there could be a rally point in Regina, then have the whole MC group convoy down to billings (horses are herd animals are they not??)

Try 2700 some odd km (one way!!!) from Port Elgin to Billings......talk about a road trip!! One years worth of mileage in one trip!!!

I'm figuring it'll cost me 3.5 - 4 tanks of gas at the most ($240 or so), hotel costs ($360 for 4 nights - may stay longer), entry fee ($45), banquet / award ceremony tickets ($39.50 x2 so $80 rounded up), T-shirt (lets say $30max each x2 so $60), eating out lots + beer money ($300). For a grand total of $1085 likely split between me & the g/f sounds pretty good to me....guess that's where my bonus is going..lol
