International Mustang Meet - Latest Updates

Hey everybody. It's getting close! Only a few weeks until International 29. Registrations are up to 164. Some of the registrants are bringing more than one car. The current car count sits at 189. Hope you are getting excited.

Just a quick note for those of you planning on drag racing Fri. afternoon at the International. A couple of rules to make you aware of:
Protective Clothing: Shorts, bare legs, tank tops or bare torsos are prohibited when driving in competition. All drivers are required to wear full-length pants, shoes and socks. Nylon or nylon-type clothing and open-toe are prohibited.
10.00 to 13.99 – All E.T. non-OEM supercharged, non-OEM turbocharged, or nitrous-equipped cars with OEM or .024 inch steel firewall Jacket Meeting SFI Spec. 3.2A/1 Mandatory.

Helmet: Helmets are recommended for all drivers, but mandatory for drivers in all 13.99 seconds E.T. or quicker vehicles. Helmet must meet SNELL 2000 or better standards (A label inside the helmet is proof of SNELL acceptance.)

We will try to have a couple helmets and jackets available for people to borrow if they do not have one of their own.

Are there any rules regarding coolant in the cooling system? Some tracks require water only.

I've been allowed glycol at SIR before, and it's not an NHRA rule. Mission requires water/water wetter only, and that is now an IHRA rule. I'm planning to show up with glycol unless someone tells me otherwise.

I'm assuming that glycol will be fine as it's a street legal event but I am trying to obtain clarification. Will post again as soon as I know for sure.
