Pony or no pony?

What do you think? I removed the pony from the grill, kinda gives it a meaner, all blacked out look, IMO. The grill area looks a lot darker in person, the camera flash really lit up the radiator area etc.

I'm a fan of the subtle, blacked out look- hard to tell, as you say, with the flash lighting up the rad area in this particular picture. Try a pic of the front end in natural daylight and see if it changes the look any, 'cause it's difficult to judge honestly.....
Actually- off the top- maybe leave the pony, but black it out? Shouldn't be that expensive to go to the wreckers and pick up a donor pony, give it a coat of black lacquer, and throw it on. Might even have a color-chrome finish to it....my two cents!!

Be careful......I think I smell a lawsuit from Ford. You might be defacing a Ford product....

I like the clean black look. Can the rad be powdercoated black without affecting cooling? That would make it nice and "stealth" looking from the front.

I think they look mean without the emblem myself, plus everyone has one, do you want to be like everyone else?

I like it, I've always been a fan of the all blacked out look.

Ok, definitely no pony now. Gave the car a polish and backed it outside for some pics in the daylight...

That does look mean J!! Awesome pics. Lookign forward to getting out for a cruise this spring with you and your car. Black and Silver Stangs should look pretty sweet ripping up the streets!!

PS, I like the pony look, but I gotta say, and maybe it's just because you have a black car, yours look great without the pony.

Thanks Dave. I was almost thinking about permitting it tomorrow for a cruise because it's supposed to be nice & sunny again. BUT, I probably have too many other things to do around the house.

I prefer with the pony myself. It kinda signifies stang...

Been thinking a lot about a set of 18" black bullitts with deep dish & 315's out back.

That would be sick man, I think the styling of the "New Edge" 'stang suits a blacked out look to a tee.
