Orange... is on a distinguished road
I thought I'd keep it a secret but...

I bought a 2001 Cobra about 2 weeks ago and it's on it's way here this week... I tried to get away with slipping little hints out seeing how much I could give away before anyone noticed... and someone did...

So here is the lowdown.. its a 2001 SVT Cobra, 74K, completely stock, 5 spd, from a dealership Santa Clara, California.

and yes I am getting rid of Orange... was in the auto trader and up in a fw sites and stuff... no real bites yet though, I'm not suprised considering it's very icey, cold and winterlike here...

Here are a couple teasers, before I get the actual car.

Nice! I'm hoping that lowering springs are high on the priority list. So tempting to buy something from the states...

I actually bought some eibach springs already for it.. the pro kit ones... they'll go in probably spring-ish... with some polyurethane IRS bushings..
I also bought a cobra emblem for the grill... and some HID conversion lights (8000k) should be on their way soon as well..

I like it as well... I just hope the feeling is the same when I actually get it...

Very nice Orange. What are you gonna do about your Screen name once the Orange is gone? I agree, she is in need of a lowering. Very nice car though. Congrats.

Thanks everyone!!

Yes I did buy some winter tires... from a fellow member here DageonYar hooked me up with some nice ones (because you can't buy studdable tires in the size I needed)

LOWERING SPRINGS ARE ON THEIR WAY lol....

Um... as far as buying cars from the states... I have a close friend who owns a business importing cars to sell them here... he did this as a favour to me. I'm sorry guys I really know nothing other then there are a few places that will do it for a fee. My friend didn't charge me as a return favor for something, he would charge you guys... sorry. Look around for places that import, there will be lots. ( as a side note just so you all know... it costs about $5,000 more then the price of the vehicle, for little things that add up).
and as far as the experience, it was... Go to bank, get Bank draft for $xxx, get another bank draft for $xxx, and $xxx cash. ( don't ask about this part) and wait.

As far as the screen name goes.. I was thinking NotOrange... but I don't know yet. I have to wait until it's in my possession.

I think the hardest part of this is the fact that I decided to upgrade in the winter, so I can't actually drive it like it's meant to be driven for many months... IT SUCKS ALREADY!!!!!

I'll probably just drive Orange... until it sells then make the switch, it's really reliable and handles/starts really good in the winter...

I think I got everyones questions...

Oh and yes, there will be some pictures very shortly after it arrives
