My name is Craig and I AM CANADIAN
I am a minority in Vancouver and Toronto I was born in 1978, yet I am responsible for some FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE BEING SCREWED OUT OF THEIR LAND in the 1700's. I pay import tax on cars made in Ontario. I am allowed to skydive and smoke, but not allowed to drive without a seat belt. All the money I make until mid July must go to paying taxes. I live and work among people who believe Americans are ignorant. These same people cannot name this country's new territory. Although I am sometimes forced to live on Kraft dinner and don't have a pot to piss in, I sleep well knowing that my taxes helped purchase a nice six figure home in Vancouver for some unskilled refugee Although they are unpatriotic and constantly try to separate, Quebec Still provides my nation's prime ministers. 95% of my nation's international conflicts are over fish. I believe that paying a 200% tax on alcohol is fair. I believe that the same tax on gasoline is also fair. Even if I have no idea what happened to that old rifle my grandfather gave me when I was 14, I will be considered a criminal if I don't register it. I believe spending $15 billion to promote the French language in the rest of Canada is fair when the province of Quebec doesn't support or recognize the English language. When I look at my pay stub and realize that I take home a third of what I actually make, I say "Oh well, at least we have better health care than the Americans." I must bail out farmers when their crops are too wet or too dry because I control the rain. My national anthem has versions in both official languages and I don't know either of them. Canada is the highest taxed nation in North America, the biggest Military buffer for the United States, and the number one destination for fleeing terrorists. I am not an angry white male. I am an angry taxpayer who is fucking broke. My name is Craig, and I am Canadian.

What's that ?, I was thinking this forum was for all canadians who got interest in Mustangs, why did you make this kind of political commentary :
Quote:
It's unrealistic to think that the Quebec will be separate, not in 2007, why ?, because it's to late for french canadian we dont made enough childs since the late 60, and the immigration is very high, also mentalities change whit the internet and the mondilisation. For the prime minister Mr. Harper is not from Quebec, and I hope that he stay for the next election(s). Quote:
It's not true, go in Montreal there more service if you speak english then french anywere you go; store, bank... also english people got all services in english in all hospitals, public services, you know, you probably don't like that but were a nation too, I'm proud to live in a country who got two distinct cultures. You think that it's just you who pay big income and tax ? In fact the Quebec is the place who pay the more taxes in north america, we have the TPS and also the TVQ (7.5%). I can live whit that, after all it's a great place to live, in Canada and in Quebec we are pacific peoples, every monirity got is place, I have a house, 2 cars, I'm sure it's better to live here then many places in the world. My name is Francis and I'M ALSO A CANADIAN ! Last edited by El docum : 02-14-2007 at 6:28 PM. |

Depends what we are talking about. Taxes, yes francis Quebec is the highest taxed province from Small business to General public.
I think this i just a kick off from the My name is Joe and i am canadian, some of the things are funny, i liked it when it is pro canada, not canada's tax system sucks. I am currently taking tax in school, so if you think paying tax sucks try learning it and applying it that sucks. There are also good things that the government is doing for taxes. This year the government will owe me money. If you know the system you know how to get around it. If you know that all scholarships received are non-taxable then anything you get is "free" money. If you also know that your RESP that is set up counts as income but only the CEGS (portion the goverment contributed) and the intrested earned is taxable in my hands then you can figure out a pretty sweet combo where i make a shit load of money, and get to write it off as almost all non taxable. Now, for those who are still following me with the little scheme here. What you do is calculate with employment income throughout the year, how much Taxable income you made in the year, and that is what you put towards your RRSP's. Then you claim them and get TAXABLE INCOME of ZERO creating no tax. Also, with your RRSP's you can do 3 things. 1 save them for retirement 2 Use them to buy a house, one time deal only but they can be used as a downpayment up to 20,000. But it has to be paid back with in 13 years, might be 15 cant remeber. 3 Life long learning program, if your RESP does run out you can use this money to pay for education or if you want to go back to school later in life, they can be used for that. I know this is long and everyone is lost but i really enjoy tax and accounting. I will be the next person that finds a huge loop hole in the tax system and I will exploit it heavily. |

I wasnt starting a political debate, i was just saying that yeah are tax system is hard. But it is mostly hard because people dont know the benefits of it and how to make life easier and cheaper. So far the government pays me money every year i have filed taxes, so i personally like it.
also there is so many little things you can do with businesses to keep your money from the government. Especially private corporations in canada and small businesses. I LOVE TAXES Last edited by Orange302 : 02-15-2007 at 3:09 PM. |

Being as you are a student Danny, you get most of your money back. I paid more taxes last year, then alot of people make in a year, and if im lucky, i wont have to pay. Theres nothing GOOD or NICE about that, I HATE taxes. Lets not even get started on the EI system or the welfare system.
