Music

After my little back-and-forth with Shakes about the merits of pre-Black album metallica, I was inspired to ask what every's favourite cruising/driving music is. So let's hear it. I'll give my choice after mulling it over for a bit.

Mastodon - "Leviathan", "Blood Mountain", or "Remission" albums
Metallica - Anything before the Black Album
Meshuggah - the entire "nothing" or "Catch thirty-three" albums
The Black Dahlia Murder
The Red Chord
Really loud Lamb of God

Nothing says american muscle like strong aggressive American Metal. No rap will ever enter the confines of my car.

My business partners favorite band is Lamb of God... pretty talented musicians but not digging the singer.

Justin Timberlake
Pink
Celine Dion
Right said Fred

jk.......

Pre Black Metallica
Outkast - any
Slayer - any... but reign in blood is my favorite.
Guns n Roses - I look like i'm in a time warp when I blast welcome to the jungle with the T-Tops off.
Sepultura - Arise
and God I love Ministry... any Ministry.

If the vocals weren't they way they were in Lamb of God, I wouldn't like them. They have to be that agressive. I've definitely always hated Guns N' Roses though.

Right said Fred? what a weird reference.

Apparently i have finally found a website where the majority of music enjoyed is what I enjoy.

I love metallica, and i truely like it all. I do like pre black better but respect has to given on anything they do.

Lamb of god, children of boden, slayer, killswitch-engage, I have only recently got into but i like them all.

Ok, actually, slayer i have listened to for ever, but because of them I have now been exposed to the others.

Slipknot and stone sour(listen to the whole new album, except for 2 songs rocks)and two of my favorites.

I grew up on S.N.F.U and D.R.I. Also C.O.C and ministry. And I love fear factory. Just went to their show here in edmonchuk about 6 weeks ago.

Sepi is very cool and a few punk bands, choke, face to face, pennywise(back in the day),old tool(don't like the new album).

Favorite shows of all time.
1. metallic-any show
2.slipknot-who knew 8 idiots from iowa could play that well live.

Not to alienate myself but i also like gangster rap. very entertaining.

Eminem is a bloody genius with the way he makes fun of everyone. Love it.

Ice cube, snoop, the originals. All these newbies are jst brutal. Nwa, by far my favorite, for rap anyway.

Yeah I've seen Slipknot live about 5 times now. I'm not a big fan of the album music in itself, but I love their live show. Fear Factory is awesome too, Specifically Demanufacture and Archetype. Cyberwaste has to be one of the most aggressive songs ever written by them.

yea, I totally forgot to mention tool... my favorite band. Duh. The new albums kinda weak though.

As for the Right said Fred comment, I was listening to the fox 99.3(vancouver) yesterday and they were asking for the worst song of the 90's and they were mentioned.

Growing up as a skater/hoodlum in Vancouver I grew up on a lot of SNFU and DRI as well... had tickets to DRI 3 times but they got held at the border every time and it was canceled... I was so pissed. I was lucky enough to see Sepultura and Fear Factory live at the commodore... best show of my life... then the KISS millennium concert for new years in 99 of course. It was such a blast they forgot the countdown and realized it was new years at 12:04... was funny.

I've never listened to them, but my partner knows them pretty good and has been to a bunch of their shows at the brickyard.

Man, I am so old ... I did see Ministry and the RHCP at a Lollapolluza and I went to the gig with G'n'R, Epic (should have been Nirvana ...) and Metalica in Toronto - but this was about 15 years ago and that's the extent of my metal experience!! Unless you count my university roommate who knew every MegaDeath song by ear and played them all night.

I'm definitely more into classic 70s rock, the Tragically Hip, 54:40 ... but I'm now guessing that I have a few years on you lot.

Already on pole, he went faster and faster and was eventually over two seconds quicker than Prost in an identical McLaren. "Suddenly, it frightened me," Ayrton said, "because I realised I was well beyond my conscious understanding. I drove back slowly to the pits and did not go out anymore that day."

I'm not much for mainstreem music but I like to cruise to Offspring, NOFX, Kid Dynamite, Rancid and a few mixed punk CD's.

Oooh, you guys are getting a bit heavier then my tastes. I like offspring, the odd metalica song, Godsmack, Nickelback, TOAD, RATM, and then all the various new stuff i dig up on Octane 20 sirius.
Of course that is always changing all the time.
