Hi Guys

I just joined. Live in Newmarket, On. I've been playing with cars and motorcycles my whole life. Had a couple of mustangs in the past(90 notch and 93 hatch) but never got that deep into modifying them, strictly bolt ons.
Now I have 95 gts. Not one of my better decisions. Beautiful car, very clean, 72k, 347 stroker. Thats where the good news ends. I knew the previous owner casually, knew he spent loads onthe car, and had ridden in it when it was supercharged. This is why I ignored my normal instincts when looking at the abortion under the hood.
Bought the car in March, spent more time and money working on it than driving it (less than 1000k) since. Even though the motor had less than 5000k on it, it is now in the middle of a complete rebuild. Piston skirts collapsed, cylinders scratched, a couple bent valves, etc.
The good part is I am looking forward to building a proper engine for this thing.
Now I have a some questions for a couple of you.
Darren, how easy was it to mount that Mach 1 spoiler? It looks hot!

Stangmank, I am planning to run the TFS track heat as well and was hoping you could shed some light on fitment issues:
Does it fit under a stock hood with that spacer?
Why can't you run an egr?
Clearance probs without spacer?
Will tfs valve covers fit without spacer?

I know I should have posted my questions in the tech forum. Hope its ok.

Thanks

Hi RAT, As you have noticed, this is not an overly active forum, but it IS Canadian eh, so I hope it does really well. I don't have a Mustang yet, but I know that I want one, so I'm saving my coin for one. I don't know enough yet to decide exactly what I want.

Hello and welcome, too bad to hear about your engine woes, but I guess everyone sometimes makes a decision they wish they hadn't. But you can usually get things sorted out if you take the time and $$$.

About the mach 1 chin spoiler, easy to install, just have 1 or 2 friends to help you position it in place. Where it's not intended for the 94-98 car fitment is pretty much based on how you position it. I started by lining up the edges of the spoiler with the wheel opening, holding it there, and then test fitting the front. Then I anchored the edges in place. Determine the center of the bumper and slide the spoilers' mounting place forward and back until you are happy with the fit, then mount the center pin. Once you've done that it's cake, just started fitting and installing pins, working your way towards the edges, and alternating sides so that you don't have bulging on one side. Take care to make the corners the same and you are done.

The main key is patience and measure twice, cut once mentality, stop frequently to take a look at it overall and make adjustments before holes are drilled. best of luck, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Enjoy your time on the boards.

I am just wondering what happened to the engine. Less than 5000k on it and it is in that bad of shape???

Glad to see another SN95 on the boards, although i am not a huge fan of the GTS.
