Hi guys,
Joined a couple days ago, I am out of Durham region east side of the GTA. I have a 2005 mustang GT Planning on turning it into a track/street car this summer and have slowly start turning it from stock this month! So far put on aem intake and catback mag exhaust I have plans of running toyo r888 or r1r tires on the stock wheel for the track and nice set of staggered 20’s on toyo t1r tires for the beach.... I have been thinking of doing an eibach suspension kit, you may have seen my thread on it, all opinions welcome Also started hearing good thing about running a light weight one piece driveshaft so will be looking into for info tomorrow. Other than that I’ll be looking into some minor appearance parts; roush spoiler, roush front bumper with lip, black racing strips (the one that gains 25hp per strip lol haha) and carbon fibre dash kit (there are some scratches and marks I can’t stand on the original) O and I need new summer floor mats plus ford racing diff cover Sorry for going into such detail, I will be using this thread as a reminder of all the crap I want to do this spring/summer lol And the dream performance part is of course the Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger Kit, sponsors welcome! If there are some advantageous track goers here, I would love to hear stories and info on events. I am very new to the track. Thanks Kris Last edited by imkman; 4 Weeks Ago at 10:04 PM. |

Welcome to the site, we're glad you decided to join! Enjoy!
Are you absolutly set on the Edelbrock S/C? I think I would go with a Whipple if I were you, thats just my opinion. I really haven't heard much good things said about the Edelbrock especially Where they are new the the whole Superecharger game..

Welcome to the site from one "noob" to another. I've also got a 2005 GT and am addressing many of the appearance & performance issues you raise. (Roush front end could set you back $2k with parts, paint, install & tax... summer floor mats can be ordered from your friendly neighbourhood Ford dealer) Since you're in the Durham area, you're obviously not too far from DaSilva Racing on Brock Road in Pickering (#401 exit 299 I think). Joe is a great guy for addressing many of the issues you raised. Until recently, he's written monthly columns on Mustang mods in "Modified Mustangs & Fords". Check him out at mustangtoystore.com, send him an email, or just drop in with your questions about parts, prices, etc.

Welcome to the MC site imkman.
Whereabouts in Durham? I spent my youth in Pickering, Ajax and Oshawa. Had 2 sisters spend several years in Bowmanville, but they've since moved from there. I still have a sister in Oshawa, 2 other sisters and my brother currently live in Ajax. If you're keeping count I have another sister in Kitchener and another in Calgary. John

Quote:
Nothing is 100% until it’s in the car lol the reason I like the edelbrock is that they give you a new high flow intake manifold and proved high gains with low boost pressures.... so they say. However, this is something I was thinking far down the road. Thx and ill be checking into the whipple kit now Quote:
Thanks for the shop info! I am near there just never been. Ill definitely be checking them out Thanks again Quote:
I am in Oshawa and used to live in Cambridge near Kitchener lol And my count is 6 sisters and one brother lol thanks guys i also added the diff cover to the list, i keep forgetting about that so i had to write it down lol |
