Hey, welcome to the site. Sounds like a lot of experience in the polishing and finishing department. I'll have to hunt you down for tips to get some of the rental blemishes out of my paint. Nice to see another Saskatoon member on board.

^absolutely,I'm no pro but so long as there not too deep its no problem. Polishing w/a good machine is the only way as far as I'm concerned.Once a person has a multi level system down with good products its amazing at the results.Obviously I'm not the resident expert on these boards and I'd like to hear what others have for their "routines" or systems.

No deep scratches, mostly swirl marks and scuffs. I want it to look like glass. I was also told the Ford stripes are a bit delicate and not to polish or machine buff them - your thoughts? What products do you use and where do you get them? I'll have to hunt you down in the spring for sure!

- If its thick enough and solid most paint can be wet sanded and polished up pretty nice.Hell, you could polish up a loraas disposal bin if you had the inclination! Ha ha.

I really trust Meguires products,I first came across them when my brother inlaw who was a 20 year pro detailer used them on my first car and this was back when you couldn't get them at places like part source. Also I noticed that pro guitar builders who use nitrocellulose(a very fine lightweight but beautiful finish) use meguires fine cut polish on minor blems(need to be carefull) or Meg's machine polish. You can mostly stay away from the stripes if its a prob or when you get close to them make sure that the pad swirls away from the stripe ridge.Oh ya If I cant find what I'm looking for at P source or Canadian tire I'll go to Walkers autobody supplies.
