I don't know specifically about the Kitchener area, but there are quite a few good places relatively close:

Sean Hyland Motorsports, Woodstock
Steeda, Milton
Nick's Automotive, Oakville
Beatty & Woods Machine Shop (Engines only), Mississauga
Vertex Fabworx (chassis & suspension only), Newmarket
PSP, Scarborough

DaSilva Racing is the best place to go but they have recently moved further east to Pickering which isn't too convenient for you in Kitch ...

Already on pole, he went faster and faster and was eventually over two seconds quicker than Prost in an identical McLaren. "Suddenly, it frightened me," Ayrton said, "because I realised I was well beyond my conscious understanding. I drove back slowly to the pits and did not go out anymore that day."

Way too many horror stories all over the net about Hyland's shop and terrible customer service. I'd stay far away.

yes to having in person dealings with Hyland.. mostly with wayne the parts guy. joe DaSilva at his old place on kingston road and I almost had some work done at chandlers or CTI in london On (CTI I wouldn't let bury a dead dog) I ended up taking my parts home from CTI. out of those 3 I liked Joe Dasilva best.I work in Pickering = nuke plant, I now work at the Bruce nuke plant, but home is Sarnia. I travel through the week and Michigan is 10 minutes away, Detroit less than an hour .joe might be a drive for you but he's got the shop and knows his stuff and he's honest.

Thank you, it's better to post a link than just say it, then everyone knows and can read for themselves. That's the first I've heard of it, and I'm only 1.1/4 hrs away from hylands.it shows 3 things about hyland he knows how to make a mod engine go faster, he can smell money off people and unless you have in writing your screwed as far as he's concerned......A side note when they write out MY / YOUR workorder, that's the time to ask the "what ifs" questions and get it in writing at that time.

Always two sides to every story, but gives you cause to think twice.
Drop that one off my short list......not interested in taking a chance on them.
