Hi everyone , , I am interrested in the classified and the used parts. It's awsome to shop CANADIAN .One thing I've noticed is that alot of you guys run good ET with a horrible 60ft. I have a 91 lx trunk model that weights 3235lbs w/me in it. On drag radials ,on a good track with good weather, I've run a best of 13.011 @ 105.4 mph with a 1.71 60ft. All this with the only mods as follow ; long tube headers , 2 1/2 exhaust (no cats ), a windage tray, manual steering rack , gears ,8 years of tuning it and lots of free tricks. This works out to about 295 engine HP on my calculator. Go Habs, Ron

Welcome to the site BTW!

3:73 to 1 gears with a 26" tire . Looks like you have a pretty nice ride yourself , my car is kind of .... used alot . She was a daily driver till this summer , didn't use it much this year . How do you like the swap to a 351W rather than say a smaller/lighter 347 strocker engine ?

Welcome to MC! How did you hear about us?

Those are impressive times for a stock longblock mustang! I take it your heads are ported?

Im not sure I've never driven a 347 powered Mustang before? But, I will say I love the 351W torque!! That 5.8 really gave my car a totally new addictive attitude. I'll never switch back to the 5.0 I took out. If I do anything I'll build my 351 into a 408W stroker!

I saw the article in muscle mustang magazine. Actualy the heads and the rest of the engine is completely as Ford built it in 1991 , the only mods are ; a windage tray and sanding the inside of the stock intake with a hand drill. I also added a 75 mass air sensor , cold air kit and long 1 5/8 headers. I don't understand why alot of you guys have slow 60ft with good ET. I launch very lightly on regular street 245/60/15 BFG's and run 1.90's 60ft.( that took ALOT of practice ), sometimes even high 1.80's on a really good day.

Post up a timeslip, those are some impressive times for what you have done. Almost unbelivable.

As for crappy 60's, In my case its over 300 ft/lbs or torque to the wheels at 2500rpm, low profile hard sidewall 17" tires and not a lot of track prep of the street legal nights.

Hey your 60ft. isn't crappy , I just thought you would have to have a better 60ft. to run mid 12's, I see others run quiker ET's and 2.something 60ft. I guess traction would be a problem running 17's. Have you tried some of the new drag radial tires . I'm still learning to use computers , I have to teach myself . I photographed some of my time slips but I still haven't figured out how to post them up. maybe someone can help me.

You're a Bruins fan living in Edmonton and you're questioning his choice of teams?

I know I can't talk either.... Leaf fan in Ottawa.
