Best Pony for the buck

FYI I know little to nothing about mustangs, so if I sound like a tool feel free to set me strait.
Any and all help would be great

Im baseing these prices with a dealer plate after imorting. With CND at $.80

From what I can tell the 03-04 Cobra is the best (duh)
But for the $21k they cost there more then $$If the CND would go up I would be all over one

So Where's that leave a guy? Next best option a 2001 Cobra? There only about $16k There like 320hp

Then theres the Mach 1 there 305 HP and about $14k

Last of all The all mighty GT Is somethin like 240hp and there about $11k.

Really IMO the 2001 SVT is the way to go but I was looking for some insite. I would like a triple black convertible and from what I under stand the Mach 1 was not avalible in convertible.

Thanx guy's

Are you after somthing newer? Any specific model? sounds like your after a 98-04. If ur willing to spend 16k on a 01 cobra, whats 5k more for a 03/04. Mach 1s are very nice too.

If you want somthing a little older you can pick up some pretty nice 88-93 mustangs for 10k. Probably get you a pretty nice all around car. I've never really kept up on the 94-97s so I cant help you out there.

5k is alot either way. Get a line of credit if you can it'll be worth it! But if u have an 03/04 juuuust outta reach and settle for the 01 your gunna kick urself. If you can save what you got over the winter. There was just a 03 in Ontario for 24k low kms.

Dont get me wrong though any mustang will do. But you can buy the 01 Cobra, or the 03/04 TERMINATOR!

See what i mean? haha

I would get a five speed Mach 1 it has all the internal goodies you want and you can bolt on a turbo or blower when you are ready, get the five speed though the auto does not have the upgrades to the engine. If you are stuck on a vert get the 01.

You're right Steve, the Mach1 was never available as a vert so if you're wanting to go topless strike it off your list.

As for your other choices you'll enjoy them all but as has already been said if you're ideal car is only a few thousand more then maybe it's worth waiting & saving for.

Any Mustang is a good purchase.

If you are waiting for the loonie to hit $0.90US, be prepared for a long wait.

Although a Mach is nice, they also run higher compression that a Terminator Motor. They aren't as boost friendly.
