Mechanical Fuel Pump Question

So I got a new mech fuel pump, a holley copy. Its pressure regulated at 7psi internally as claimed, but there is no return line like the stock pump had. Is this an issue? Should I put in a regulator anyways?

I'm just curious as to how the pressure is maintained on it without a return line.

Hehe, still wondering how the pressure is actually regulatoed within the body without a return line, I guess there must be a specific tension spring on the arm that will only pull when there is a pressure difference.

maybe answered my own question...hehe
