The 82GT finally made its first 1/4 mile showing!

Well, everything finally worked out. Got a chance to make it down to Mission for a Friday night street legal with my car. I was going to drive it, but couldnt pass up the option of a nice 22' enclosed race trailer, so i towed down. Picked myself up a pair of 235/60 ET Street drag radials for my old ten holes, and gaver hell! First pass of the night was a 11.89 at 116.45, with a 1.67 short time. I was stoked! Another 11.8, a 11.9, a couple 12.1's getting a little excited on the launch, a best 60' time of 1.64, best mph of 117.7,and a best ET of 11.78 at 117 to top the night off right. Had a great time all in all, met up with a few friends from down there, ran the car hard, it took it well, and more or less ran what i had hoped it would.
Suspension definitly needs addressed, its stock everything except C springs, and 10 year old napa shocks and struts, which have long since past their expirery date. I still need to get my 30# injectors swapped out for the 42's, get a proper power pipe, and decide on what kind of system to use for tuning it, weather it be a burnt chip, or a tweecer or something.

Thanks alot. And yeah, the 235's are small. But my inner fenders and lips havent been massaged by a hammer, and ugly little ten hole wheels were what i had, the tires impressed me to say the least!

Thanks alot guys. Ron, I really like Steves car, its a really nice, clean built car, an the thing just works! I cant wait to get some suspension work done to mine, and at least get the motor making the power its capable of! Except then im faced with the Cage delema... Dont know if i wanna crawl over a cage in my street car or not.

the cage is your friend. you never want to be too comfortable driving an eleven second car. the fuel costs and tickets are very prohibitive. lol.

Good Job Brian!!! Im glad too see things worked out fairly well for ya Buddy. Looks like all that BLood, Sweat and Cash finally paid off.

Those are some very respectable #'s too I might add...I bet with a little tuning and some chassis work you'll be deep in the 11's maybe even high 10's.
