Anybody deal with WheelsWest.ca?

I just bought some Nitto NT555 ZR's from Wheels West located in Vancouver. I ordered 2- 245/45/18's and 2- 285/40/18's going on a set of Bullit Deep dish wheels designed for my T-Bird. I ordered the Bullits from a different place in the states but decided to try these guys out for the tires, pricing was pretty good. The 245's are $219.00 each and the 285's are $255.00. Prices are Canadian dollars and all in, delivered to my shop. Anybody deal with these guys before? Here is a pic of the wheels on a 95 lx but with 275/40/18's on the rear axle and cooper tires.

I figured i would mention to people who are not familiar with the MN-12 cars. The wheels have a 5 x 4.25 bolt pattern compared to the SN-95 and up Mustang's 5 x 4.50 bolt pattern making these type of aftermarket wheels much more limited in style and availability. To fit a 10x18" rear wheel and/or a 9x18" front wheel fit on these cars takes the exact amount of offset and proper tire sizing. Not many shops cater to these cars but one does. They are a sponsor on the TCCoA.com - Thunderbird & Cougar Club of America If you are ever looking for wheels for a 89 to 97 Thunderbird, Cougar or Lincoln MK VIII, These guys are great! Custom wheels, car rims, truck rims, chrome rims, chrome wheels, spinner wheels, discount tires

Pro SC.... i hate to be the bearer of bad news in regards to wheels west.

Im local to wheels west and the word around town that describes the company is "SLOPPY".

I haven't dealt with them directly but what people have been saying locally is that they take your money and say your wheels will be in a couple weeks but you dont get them for two months!!!!! and thats after nagging having to get down to low levels with them to even get that.

Although some people have reported a prefect transaction.... I dont know how they are with online sales... i bet there just fine with online sales and monkeys with local sales.

I tried to find the thread on vancouvermustangs.com but i couldnt find it on them.... there is a thread there about them being a hit or miss company to deal with... hopefully you get lucky and hit.

good luck bud... hopefully all goes smooth and well.

Thanks for the heads up jay86. They already have my money so i will just have to see. The 245's are in stock and the 285's are "less than a week away" so they say. I hope that i don't have to wait around all summer staring at my new bullits with no rubber on them! Hopefully things will work out.

Well my bullits arrived today, man they are sweet. Will post pics of them in my build thread. I just got the tracking number from Wheels West as my Nitto's just got shipped out today. I would have to say it is right on the money from when they said they would be sent out. They had to get the 285's from the states as they did not have them in stock so that was the slight delay. I dealt with JC there and he said to tell other MC members to mention me and he will give a great deal on tires or wheels. I have to say the transaction was effortless and it all went down well. The best part was the pricing. The same Nitto's are listed at very similar prices in US dollars in the USA, never mind the shipping and brokerage charges, so i have to highly recommend Wheels West Dist. - Todays Hottest Wheel & Tire Brands - HOME

Well my Nitto's just arrived today, and i have to say i am very pleased with my dealings with Wheels West. No BS, JC told it like it is and i got my tires in a week from when i ordered and considering they had to get the 285's in from the states, i thought it was pretty fast all in all.

thats great news Pro SC.... i think they just fuck around with local customers only then.... or maybe a few select bad transactions ended up on the net and thats making them look bad... dunno.... again nothing i know personally about them... just stuff i have read on them on the local vancouver forums.

but its good to hear your got your stuff on time and a good deal on them!
