Yes and no, the seller looks to be UPR's online sales thing. I've gone thru this before. I would call and verify what it's all about.

Here's where things will likely make you angry, UPR only ships UPS which will charge you $25-35 brokerage to run it past the border. Even when you order directly from UPR's website you pay the "ship to Canada" price, then about $12.00 extra, then UPS hits you at the border.

It made my $35 throttle spacer cost $35+12+35= $82, I could have bought the expensive accufab one here in Canada for less than that.

So yes it's BS but it's the way they run things.

Really?
Do the USPS for sure, I didn't have that option when I purchased directly from their site, I should have gotten my stuff from UPR's ebay store.

another email i got from him

"The listing simply states that we do indeed ship to Canada, But if you read further down on the listing you will notice that it says to please call for a quote for any shipment out of the U.S. The shipping i looked up was for the United States Postal Service, this way you would not get charged duties when the shipment gets to Canada. We also have the option to ship UPS, which is 2 dollars less but then you will end up paying more in the long run with the duties

you WILL pay the Duty, what you will not pay is the brokerage fees (20-35 bucks saved), however, usually USA made stuff has a low duty rate, something like under 10% depending on the goods. If you can, ask them to put antique car parts, and duty is lower apparently.

Actually, you don't pay any duty on antique auto parts. We ordered many parts from the States when building my husbands 65 Sunbeam. But you will still get nailed on the brokerage fee if going through UPS.

There is no duty on USA made goods when shipped to Canada. If shipping by UPS you will pay brokeage fees unless you overnight it.

That doesn't seem right to me.They clearly state "Shipping to Canada U.S. $9.99 Other Intl shipping (see description)".I believe they made a mistake because if you click shipping to the U.S., it comes up as $9.99 as well.If you look at some of their other auctions they state they ship to United States and Canada and state non-U.S. orders must get a shipping quote so I think that is what they are referring to in the email.Even if they would ship it for $9.99 by UPS you are better off using the post office for $22 as the extra brokerage fees would be much more than the $12 difference anyway.Anytime I buy something off Ebay now I get a shipping quote VIA the post office before I bid and if they won't give me a quote or won't ship by the post office I don't bid.
