My daily driver is a 97 Black Acura CL that I neglect horribly. The paint was looking old had tons of fine scratches and was generally faded and oxidized.
I picked up an 80$ airco polisher, some fracela g3 and g10 and a 8 and 5" meguiars foam pad and made a day out of polishing the luxo-ricer.
This stuff goes on really nice - it's a diminishing abrasive and is water based. They state that you should spritz water onto the surface as you polish - this helps keep the polish moving as it breaks down and also prevents the paint from burning. I kept the polisher on low speed and just worked it in gently and the resuts were amazing. I sealed the whole deal is with some turtle wax ice and stood back. The paint has metalic flake in it I didn't even know was there, and it is juts smooth as glass now.
Anyhow... Fracela gets 2 thumbs up from this rookie, no burns exept the sunburn I got working outside (yep theis stuff can be applied in direct sunlight).

Not too bad then ehh...? You probably have enough stuff left over to do it a few more times...right? Maybe try it on your Mustang next time?

Oh yeah I could do a dousen cars easy wth what I have. Its pretty abrasive stuff so its not needed often, once you have a nice base to work with you can just maintain the shine and protection with wax/polymers.
The g3 is one heck of a scratch remover.
