I dunno myself, I think a darker centre (maybe not black, but like a black chrome/hemmatite look) with a machined lip would look a little more muscular than all chrome (although 18's would help the chromes a bit better than the 17s in the pic I think)
but that's just me, its the front end IMHO that needs a more 'severe' wheel to go with it...I also drool over deepdish rims too...

Are those the torque thrust? Man they look killer!! I really like those and its a nice change from the typical cobra r's, i always have liked the cobra r's but you get sick of seeing them. If you are thinking about buying a set go for it and i like the 17's better than the 18's on almost any car.

Personally I am not a huge fan of the Torq Thrust wheels as I feel they are waaaay overdone and overused.
On these cars I prefer a nice beefy 5 spoke in a 17" or 18" or a Weld style race look in a 15". I realize the Torq Thrust is a 5 spoke but it's got the round edges that I just don't think suit the car well. Again with an overdone wheel, but the 03-04 Cobra wheels are a great 5 spoke that I think look great on these cars as. Another wheel I like is a saleen SC style wheel, great 5 spoke with a really beefy spokes and they suit these cars perfectly. Cragar makes what I'd describe as Torq Thrust-ish that they call the 610C, again I think this would be a great look on this car. ![]() |
