Porting my GT40 LIM

Just posting some pics to stir up some interest in the middle of winter.
I've been keeping myself occupied with minor little things to get my KB on for this season, recently I've been gasket matching my SAC 2 GT40 Lower to a Felpro 1250 gasket. Here's a few pics for interest.

Tools of the trade:

Here's the stock port, the inked area is the material marked for removal.

Here is one finished port

The measurements at the port mouth are STOCK 1" X 1.71" and PORTED 1.15" X 1.95" after the ports are matched, attention will turn to straightening the runners.

On the topside you can see the core shift that is found with many sand cast Intakes. A pass or two with the burrs easily removes the seams and makes things much better.

So far 1 port and runner done, and 7 left to go...

And for off topic here's a pic of the car waiting to finish up my Cobra Brake swap. Need to Refit and Flare two lines for the master cylinder and it will be all done.

Looks good. Have you considered port matching instead of just gasket matching since you're going to all the trouble?

Well everything gets matched to the gasket, and by extension the ports should all be the same as well

Looking good Darren. A little die grinder work goes a long way.
