hey there everyone..
i have a question: is my 1995 mustang a GT or a GTS? it is low optioned with roll up windows, no fog lights, manual door locks, etc. but it does have the wing, 17" inch rims, a/c, cruise, tilt....cloth interior... is it a gts or is it a low option GT?? any answers somebody may have would be appreciated.

my guess is a low option'd GT. the fog light delete is usually the easy way to spot the GTS, but the GTS did not come with a spoiler and it looks like you have one if that is your car in your avatar. there is no way to tell from the VIN, both GT and GTS cars are "P42" in the VIN.
other ways to tell are more difficult to spot. a GTS had the standard v6 interior but with the GT gauge pod/ instrument panel. both GT and GTS cars had GT fender emblems and Mustang GT on the rear bumper cover.

I noticed you mentioned what your seating surfaces were, but what kind of seat do you have, power or manual?
Also what kind of steering wheel do you have, plastic or leather wrapped? For the record a GTS could be factory ordered with 17's, a spoiler, and nearly every single option a normal GT sports.

thanks for the heads up guys...
to answer a few questions, i don't have power seats or a leather wrapped steering wheel...very low ooptions, so i'm guessing it could be a GTS....? i plan to hit ashcroft this spring...first a few more mods, and some drag radials...

you could order a Marti Report, that should tell you for sure. also, if you know your build date GTS cars were only produced between November 28 94 to August 11 95 - its a big span that covers most of the model year, I know, but it's another way to find out for sure.

My GTS is all decked out... Power windows, power door locks, power seats (still the v6 seat, but power), even keyless entry. Now the last owner put on a spoiler and fog lights.... never hooked em up, or even put the switch in. I guess some ppl don't like different... ? But ya, they can be fairly optioned is the point.

I have a 1996 GTS, but they stopped calling it that and it comes with a spoiler and had racing stripes before I bought it. Pretty much my car has no options and I like it that way less stuff to break.
