Hey everyone.
I was just wondering if there were any products available to monitor the computer on our non-obd-2 vehicles. A friend of mine has a system hooked up to his 2000 camaro ( i know what ur thinking, but he's still a good guy) lol, and it seems pretty wicked. It tells him all of his temps and pressures and fuel ratios... can we do anything like this with our cars??? |

Yep, Tweecer is about the only practical option while retaining the factory ECU - it has a digital dashbord that can display up to 16 parameters of your choice. The display part is neat but it is also a very powerfull (and equally complicated) tuning device that requires a LOT of research and trial and error to tune, and has very little support from the manufacturer and on-line community so it's not somthing to get into without really researching 1st. This device gives you absolute control over your ford ECU and you can adjust fuel, timing, adaptive learning, emmissions equipment, fan on/off temperatures, absolutly everything
![]() There are a few other devices including SCTs pro-racer package which is expensive and doesnt have datalogging, and a few new rip off systems i'm starting to see in the magazines. The best option of all would be a full standalone managment setup like AEM (1850$ cdn, but it is a direct plug in to the factory wiring harness and uses stock sensors, all others do not) or an equivillent from FAST, ACCEL, Megasquirt (the cheapest of all, cause you literally build it yourself), Motec, Haltech and a few others. If you arn't interested in tuning the car and just want the display a base tweecer can be had for a few hundred used. Let me know if you have any questions
