Orange302's Dyno Results

Alright first off, when i got there i asked him what I would run. He said around 260 RWHP. He set up a couple of cool things. No more codes, also my fans go on quicker so it runs cool now for intown driving.

One other thing i would like to note. Is that of all the 5.0L stock blocks he has done, mine was the highest HP numbers he has ever seen. The one before me was 277 so i just edged him out. Another cool things is the car hits 281, then drops to about 277 and continues to hold, we only brought it to just over 6000. I will shift at 6200 but it will definatly hold the power past that. Unfortunatly it is a stock block after all.

Although all this fun on reving high is definatly making me thing that when i do build a block to keep it smaller on cubs and rev to the sky

The Dot line, is the line for the nitrous. That is a 75 shot. The tune is set up for a 125 shot, so we increased the fuel by 5% from the N/A and retarded the timeing 5 degrees. So it is really conservitive on the 75 and 100 shots and should be still conserivitve for the 125. We decided that it would be better to see car make only 40 more horsepower, then push for max and risk it blowing up.

LOL,

"it doesn't hit that hard.. it rev's a bit faster.... I think..."

Glad you are back safe and sound in one piece. Those are really decent numbers concidering the combo. On a non load bearring dyno that would be in the mid 320hp range i'm sure, and that's impressive for any n/a 302.

How come you didnt run the big shot on the dyno? Anyhow, that nice conservative tune of the juice should keep your car happy and healthy, and I'm sure we can welcome you to the 12 second club this summer.

Yes, we didnt do the big shot for 2 reasons

1. He really doesnt like nitrous. He made me stand in front of the car with a fire extingisher.
2. Just hearing it with the 75 shot scared the shit out of me. That thing roars.

Also, the guy who went on in the morning couldnt get his car to work. So we sat around for about 3 hours waiting for him to get it fixed. It wasnt anythign to do with the tune, he just had some parts installed wrong. But Matthew didnt want to send him away until it was right so he spend lots of time with him. I didnt get on the dyno till 2:30 and got off around 6:30.

Either way the car will take it and love it.

Another thing, he showed me a dyno of a car with a built 331 with Afr 185s on it and a few other things (cant remeber now) and it only made 25 more HP then me. I know 25 RWHP is alot but i was definatly stoked on the stock block.

I would also like to say that Jay Allen rules for makeing cams. I probly have 50 emails from him for helping me out with installing and general bullshitting. Also Matthew at Tecmotion Chassis Dyno - Home is an awsome guy. Spend so much time with me making sure i was happy with the tune. He charges a flat rate which is realy nice. He also helped us load the damn car on the trailer and shot me an email making sure i got home alright.

I would recommend either of these guys to anyone.
