Alright, so it starts, and for the cam size i have in i am really happy with how it idles right around 850-900.
Here is the weird part, i have have it idle for 5 minutes with though throwing a code. Soon as it go to 2000 rpm for more than a quick rev i throw a code. I forget which of the ones i am suppose to connect with the smaller grey one so i know what code i am running. The thing is soon as i turn the car off, the code goes away. |

Better pull that code and see what it is buddy.
heres how your hook it up: ![]() Higher idle sounds like it helped, the real test wil be how she cruises down the street - when are you putting the orange monster back on the street?

well, depends what the code is, also the trip to Calgary might change a bit too man. Really up in the air as on what is going on. The good news is no leaks and everything seemed to seal well. She sure does sound angry though. What day do you have off next sure could use a hand with troubleshooting.
O yeah, that belt i got from you i couldnt fit on, it is just a bit small, i might have to get the same size belt and just buy a new one every year or something. As for going down the street, wont be for awhile, but she prrs at anything over 1500 really well, she is surging a bit, but sometimes she hits 850, and just sticks. Ill pull the code tomorrow morning. What is the link to what the numbers translate into for the code? Thanks Last edited by Orange302 : 03-25-2007 at 11:41 PM. |

, Danielles brother was over tonight, (he just towed his car to Vancouver for tuning and an engine rebuild) he says he would be more than happy to either drive me their, or just let me have his truck. BTW, FM your still coming either way lol |

alright i am in my garage, i did the light test and it just went solid, no flashing or anything, i did it with the ignition on, and off. Either way, just solid.
When i have the 2 connected the engine light turns off right away when i turn the ignition on. I cant seem to get it to tell me a code. Help?! |

From the self tune input to the signal return. I got that thing you made me last year just for it (keep it in my glove box). I tried it will siting in the car. The check engine light, goes out soon as i turn the key to on, and it doesnt come back. So that should mean i dont have any codes, but the light came on when i held it to 2000 while i was adjusting my idle. I havent taken the battery out and drained the system since that so the code should be in memory shouldnt it?
I do know that when i stopped reving it, turned the car off, then started it the check engine light was off. |

sure it wasnt a low oil light or anything?
![]() as long as the car does the buzz and click sound and goes into self test mode it should flash: 1 pause 1 bigpause 1 pause 1 11 11 is all clear.

If i put it in the self test out put instead of sig return, and turn the ignition on, the fan turns on low, then high. I am not sure what is going on inside the car, i havent been in it but i will go run and check now.
\ Alright did that, this is what i got: 4 quick flashes 334 334 1 pause, 1 pause 57 334 334= EVP sensor is/was high 57 isnt there, but 157 is: Mass Air Flow signal is/was low or grounded Alright well i got a mass Air meter this year, and i checked it is for 88-95 mustang gt/lx. So i am not sure why the low signal is there. As for the EVP, from what i can find "google" It means 334 - EGR closed voltage higher than expected. I got ride of my EGR last year though and didnt run a single code with it. Just take the egr out and Zap strap it half way down, didnt run a code all last year. Any imput on solving these would be great ![]() Last edited by Orange302 : 03-26-2007 at 1:41 AM. |

Don't sweat the EVP code, that wont effect drivability at all, and with your tune you can turn that off once and for all. Why it tripped I dunno, maybe your zip strap inst holding it far enough down?
If it is 157 for the maf there is a problem. This could be due to air leakage, you said earlier you had a gap after the maf. Hopefully that is all it is. Clear your codes, then start and rev your car again, then pull the codes again. With luck that is all it was. If you stll get the maf catch code you need to hook a voltmeter to the "D" wire on the MAF and see what your voltake is at idle, and that the voltage increases as the rpm increases. report back with your voltage findings at idle. Are you sure that maf is for your car? I thought 94-95 used a differant setup from the foxes. Maybe someone can confirm or deny this?
