Finally put insurance and plates on the car this weekend, since I only drive the car for 4-5 mths a year, I found out I would be able to insure it as a classic/hobby car.
Only cost me $148.00 for the year ( I paid just under $1000.00 last year).
There are a couple of stipulations though, it must not be a daily driver, you must not put on more that 5000 kms in a year, and you must have it appraised (about $150.00 here).
I know that this is not for everyone, but it sure works for me.
If anyone in Alberta is interested in this insurance I can give you more info.
