If you had to pay for a part noone else wanted....is it still a good deal
haha i kid i kid. Just run that 2.3 gangsta till you can swap it out, dont put money into er son, 351w FTW...or a turbo setup, and it'd be acceptable. Modding a base 2.3 is like wiping before ya poop, just dont make no sense ![]() |

The minimal power gain isn't going to be worth your time by installing the cam IMO. It's like adding performance exhaust to an everyday lawnmover, nobody will notice the difference except yourself because it will be faster in your own mind!! Also, installing a used cam without the lifters that came with that cam will just cause more headaches!!

You took into acount the addition of the ghettofab CAI, and the clacking roller cam setup....but did you deduct the years of peckerheaded abuse and neglect of the motor, bad rings, valves and wore out parts? Prolly be lucky to beat up on a briggs and straton on a dynojet

This is the most ridiculous thread. Unless there's a turbo attached to your 4 banger, please don't waste time putting even $1 into it. Just my .02

![]() I only paid $15 for the cam, and the followers. This cam will also work with a turbo, so I killed 2 birds with one big ass stone |

I didn't bash jack. I just think it's a colossal waste of time... however, I forgot it's sleeper so even though it's pointless it's a good educational install.

I'm learning, and not doing bad for a 15 year old
Cam's in, sounds really mean at 4000 RPM with my CAI So today was not a wast of time, because me and my dad hung out and I learn a lot from him. I love my stang, even if its making less than 100 HP and is a 4 cylinder |

Yeah HALF a mustang. ![]() N/A 2.3s are good reliable beaters, and theres nothing wrong with that. I can actually understand modding em just for saftys sake so you can merge into freeway traffic as actual highway speeds or accelerate out of harms way. 15$ for a couple HP and some quality time with dad is money well spent and a good learning experiance so props to Sleeper for that. Understanding and acceptping that the 2.3 is extremly limited in its power potential (not talking Turbo 2.3s now) is required. The majority of mustang owners are perfomance enthusiasts. Even offering a motor that made 88HP is just rediculous to people that are dedicated to speed and mustangs. Liv, you got to understand that hopping up a gutless wonder of a 2.3 is like polishing a turd. It doesn't mater how flashy your paint is if you have a generator motor powering your car. If that hurts your feelings, well then you need to grow up... or maybe buy a nice sport compact.
