I'm from BC and we are isssued 2 plates, but if you're vehicle only takes the back, thats all you need. However if you car takes a front plate and you don't put it on, or you put a novelty one, and you get pulled over by an a-hole (can we swear on here?) cop they'll make you put the real one back on and then come by the shop and show them... How are people supposed to know I want them to Cowgirl Up if I can't express it on my front bumper, hmm?

I wish it was like Alberta here, when I bought my car the dimples were pre-drilled.. Next one I buy I'll definetly request it not to be done though. Front plates are distracting and BRIGHT white against my black paint..

Sure wish I knew about this two years ago when I moved from Alberta to Ontario. It absolutely broke my heart to drill those two holes.

Only car nuts would factor front licence plate mounting in choosing their place of residence.

The local RCMP write tickets, I think it's $75 here. I spoke with a Vancouver Police Traffic Sarg, and he said his guys don't have the time to write 'no front tag' tickets. He said the RCMP, who have pulled me over once, just had way to much time on their hands and were just pushin' their weight around...no other reason, really!
The only way I can get around it, is by just putting 'temp' insurance on my car when I use it. The paperwork for the temp insurance just has to be taped on to the windows. The Scotch tape comes off easy for shows.

Still pisses me off....

Alright, just following up here on this plate mounting bracket. Hats off to Craig Broussard for marketing a great quality aftermarket product that most of us can appreciate.
Now to the install. We got the bracket mounting fairly quick and easily. Only took about 10 minutes. Just a little tight for someone like myself with shorter arms than someone that is 6' 6". If I had a lift I'd of had a much easier time, but either way it was a real straight forward and simple installation and looks great on the boss' Shelby. I'll see about snapping a pic the next time he drives in to work.

I'd recommend this mod for anyone looking for a cheap alternative to running without plates that doesn't want to punch holes in their front bumper.

You can always get the holes filled and then use the bracket that I posted up back on page 1.
